We are so excited to host our Arabian Nights themed prom next week on May 16th. We will start at 7PM and the event will take place at our high school. Tickets are still on sale for $65 so buy yours before the deadline. We can't wait to see you dress up, step out, and have fun!

Don't forget that we will be having the last District Strategic Planning Meeting tonight at 5PM in the District Office Conference Room. Open to public, this meeting will help us identify steps we can take to address areas of concern including staff quality, student experience, gifted programs, and academic excellence. We will have light refreshments for you to enjoy as we have an honest and open conversation about what we can do to improve. Our AFHS Junior Class is planning ahead for an exciting senior year and needs your support! Today we celebrated Career Day at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School. Our students got to explore over 20 different career paths ranging from industries like government, finance, emergency services, healthcare, and entrepreneurship! We are grateful to each one of our visitors who took the time out to speak with our students about their roles and duties. We hope that our scholars realize their potential is limitless and start thinking about their bright futures ahead!
Don't forget tomorrow we will be having an Interest Meeting for our football program next year. The meeting will be held in the AFHS Gymnasium at 6 PM and we invite both parents and students to attend. Please come out to meet Coach Jones and hear about his vision for the program. We look forward to rebuilding our program together!

Our board meeting on Monday was extensive and insightful. We reviewed options for cost effectiveness for our 2026-2027 budget, ahead of its reading to the State Department later this week. We recognized our Staff and Students of the Month including Gauge Ayer, Ashanti Bynum, and Bridget Gillyard. We also reviewed several policies student rights, heath services and instructional staff. Yesterday, we hosted a home track meet featuring several schools competing in regional field events. Today, our team is traveling to Whale Branch for track events. Let’s wish them luck as they attempt to qualify for Lower State! Lower State competition will take place at Carvers Bay on May 9th.


Meet our new coach Mr. Jones at our Interest Meeting on Thursday night in the AFHS Gymnasium at 6:00 PM. Coach Jones is excited to meet all the prospective players and their parents. He is looking forward to leading our team with discipline, structure, and sportsmanship. Come out to see how you can support our team!

Next school year is approaching fast, so be sure to register your 3k, 4k, and 5k students as soon as possible. We only accept registration packets for these grade levels, and registration is required for students currently enrolled. Be sure to bring all necessary legal, identification, and medical records. We look forward to helping you register for a successful year ahead!

Come out tonight to our April Board/Community Meeting starting at 6:00 PM in the AFHS Multipurpose Room. This evening marks a special occasion as we announce the renaming of our baseball field in Fairfax to honor Vern Taylor. We want the community to gather and celebrate him on this accomplishment as he has worked tirelessly and diligently to maintain the integrity of our field and its players. Superintendent Dr. Cave will share operational updates followed by departmental updates from Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, and Finance. The best part of the evening is when we get to recognize our staff and students who went above and beyond, so don't miss out! Please note that location has changed to our high school.
