Our Superintendent Dr. Cave sponsored an epic egg hunt filled with exciting prizes like cash, candy, lunch, and more! However, the real prize was the joy of being together. From the laughs we shared to the memories we made, it was a reminder that community and fellowship are what matter most. It was a great way to connect with coworkers before Spring Break!

Even in retirement, our dedicated teachers continue to lead with heart and purpose. Today, they gathered to discuss new ways to stay involved and increase community engagement. Their passion for education and commitment to service haven’t slowed down—they’ve simply found new ways to make an impact. We’re so grateful for their continued love, wisdom, and dedication.

Coach Lewis and several of our football players recently attended the Palmetto Combine, where nearly 250 schools competed. One of our very own athletes, Zamal Ellison, achieved the highest vertical jump of 40.5 inches! This is a major accomplishment, especially considering that our small, rural school earned a title among such strong competition. We can’t wait to see how our football program continues to prosper!

Our new football coach, Mr. Lewis, has been making great strides and launching new initiatives since his arrival. One of his recent efforts includes starting a weekly book club, where students read books and share their favorite quotes. This week, Luther Smoaks read Old School Grit and chose a quote about making every effort to do what we love. Meanwhile, Joy Bennett read Developing the Leaders Around You and learned that the quality of your work is more important than the recognition you may—or may not—receive.

Parents of gifted and talented students, we are calling on you to join us for a FREE 1-hour virtual session on May 6, 2025 from 6-7 PM. Our board members will be meeting on Monday, April 14th at 6:00 PM in the District Office Conference Room for a Budget Board Work Session. At this session, they will finalize the budget for next year and receive capital project updates. There will also be a Q&A session, so that board members can get clarification. This meeting is open to the public, but attendance is optional. The goal is to get our district prepared for a successful year ahead!

Lastly, we want to acknowledge Mrs. Lotashia Polite, who is serving as AP Support for Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School. Mrs. Polite has been working in our district for over 20 years and counting. She is known for her diligence and intellect. Mrs. Polite genuinely cares about our children and their well-being. We are so grateful for her willingness to lead and contribute to our district.

Superintendent Dr. Cave is not just a boss — she is a leader. Today, she covered desk duties at our District Office while handling her responsibilities as Superintendent. She is never above a task or role and does whatever necessary to ensure our district is running smoothly. She exemplifies dedication and leads by example!

Our Board Members were invited to a Day at the Capitol! While there, they got to meet with our local State Representative, Lonnie Housey. Board Members received a briefing about new proposed laws and were able to share feedback. It's important that our board members advocate for our district, so that legislators can understand how these proposed changes would affect us.

Let's recognize our awesome Assistant Principal, Coby Brandyburg! Mr. Brandyburg serves at Allendale-Fairfax High School as our Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. Brandyburg has been in our district for over 15 years and has left an impact on multiple families in our district. He is loved by staff and students alike. We are grateful to have him in our district, as he is a valuable asset to our team.
