The cost is $16 and all proceeds will go towards the transportation, lodging, and food costs during their 2026 trip to New York! We are grateful to each of our retired teachers who continue to make a contribution to our district. Though they are no longer in the classroom, they do community service and charitable initiatives to support our schools. Their dedication is evident and truly admirable. Thank you to Ms. Connell of the Coastal Community Foundation for visiting AFHS to hold an interest meeting with our junior class. We are grateful for our partnership with this organization, as it allows our children to explore several colleges throughout the state. If students meet the requirements, the program offers a $10,000 scholarship each year. We hope that more of our scholars will participate so that they can explore the opportunities they offer.
More photos from our fruitful Grandparents Day Breakfast! Families enjoyed a hot breakfast and photo shoot after the conclusion of the parade. It was amazing watching the families connect with our staff and each other. We all feel a sense of family as we celebrate our beloved grandparents!

Thank you to the SC Farm Bureau for visiting our middle school this week! They allowed our students to explore their interactive truck both inside and out! In the interior, students received a brief lesson on our state's commodities and built a model of soy beans. On the outside of the truck, students got to use VR headsets and match crops with their respective seeds.
College Application Day provides the opportunity for our students to apply to various colleges in South Carolina and Augusta, GA free of cost. We invited our Seniors to complete applications with the help of campus representatives from USC Columbia, USC Salkehatchie, Coastal Carolina, Paine College, Francis Marion, Lander University, and the Army. We are grateful to everyone who came out to motivate and assist our scholars throughout the process. To continue College Application Week, some of our students will be joined by our administrators at the CSRA College Night later on this evening.

Strawbridge Studios is coming to Allendale-Fairfax High School in 2 weeks on September 24th to capture memories! Parents, they offer a variety of options at different price points if you want to purchase photos for your own memento. We will also be using these photos to create a district wide year book that will be available for purchase at the end of the year. Students, dress in your best school appropriate attire and don't forget to smile!
