Students at our high school enjoyed an ice cream social party for having perfect attendance during the month of September. Although the month has passed, we still continue our efforts to reduce truancy in our schools. Consistent student attendance promotes academic growth and class participation. It also teaches our students the values of discipline and timeliness!
We are accepting nominations for our Fairfax Baseball Field until October 24, 2025. If you know someone who is a pillar in the community, whether they are deceased or living, please submit their name for consideration. We are back with another Mindful Moment! Our students shared how they use mindfulness to help them when they are feeling excited, sad, and or angry. We had a successful day of professional development ahead of our Fall Break! Our teachers attended several sessions to improve their skills and workflow. They focused on behavior management, newsletter building, and mental health, along with additional training on the core subjects. We also practiced phrasing and categorizing questions based on their depth of knowledge.

Today marks the official end of our first quarter, and we’re proud of the strong start we've made. We’re excited to reward both students and staff with a well-earned break later this week. Credit recovery opportunities will begin on the 9th and 10th during Fall Break.

Our favorite part of our board meetings is always recognizing our scholars and staff! Last night, we awarded over 100 students for meeting or exceeding on their SC Ready or EOC tests! We are especially proud of our three students with perfect scores! Our Students and Staff of the Month were also acknowledged for their outstanding behavior and work ethic!

She also reviewed the data report from our SC Ready test scores. We are grateful to everyone who came out to listen and support!
