Dear Allendale County Community of Learners,
Due to a nearby shooting, our Allendale-Fairfax Middle and High Schools are currently in a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure. This means that all exterior doors are locked, and we are limiting movement within the building to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Please know that there is no immediate threat to our school, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Students are safe, and classes will continue as scheduled.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. We will provide updates as necessary.
Thank you for your support.

Dear Allendale Community,
We want to ensure that you have access to all the resources being provided to our community at this time. The Allendale-Disaster Recovery Center for Allendale County is located at the James Brandt Building. The center will be open October 21-23 from 8:00am to 7:00pm. To apply for disaster assistance: Visit DisasterAssistance.gov, download the FEMA app, or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).

As part of Allendale-Fairfax High School's College Application Day, students were given designated time to complete college applications for FREE. We also had representatives from several colleges including University of South Carolina Salkehatchie, Charleston Southern University , Francis Marion University, Morris College, Clafin University, and the College of Charleston. This gave our students a chance to ask them questions about admissions and enrollment.

Thank you to the AFHS National Honor Society and BETA club for participating and everyone else who helped us set up and pass out the food donations. Your generosity and kindness is much appreciated!

Our food drive was a success! Thanks to our partners, United Way and Bamberg Food Share, our students in National Honor Society and BETA club were able to distribute over 100 boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables to members of our community. We hope this can relieve some of the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
