Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School held a pep rally to get students pumped up about testing! There were skits, chants, and dances that got the students excited and prepared for next week.

As National School Nurse Week comes to an end, we want to thank our nurses Ashiel Bryant, Martha Brodus-Freeman, and Jannie Preacher again for their service to others. We appreciate all that you do!

Reminder that on June 1st from 8 AM-12 PM Allendale County Schools will be having a surplus furniture sale at Fairfax Elementary School. We will have tables, chairs, bookcases, and more for sale at an affordable price so don't miss out!

To kickoff EOC Testing, Allendale-Fairfax High School is hosting a fun day tomorrow at 2 PM in the gymnasium. This event will include games, concessions, music, and more! Tomorrow will also be a dress down day. The cost is $2 for students and $3 for staff. All proceeds will benefit the class of 2025.

Cadets were awarded with prestigious distinctions such as The Retired Enlisted Award, American Veterans Award, The Superior Cadet Award, and more. These honors are earned by exhibiting exemplary leadership, skill, character, and intellect.

Several other cadets were also promoted yesterday. During the program, the Tiger Battalion honored the late Markayla Roberts with a tribute. They also presented her family with her uniform and awards.

The AFHS JROTC officially had a change of command. Lokeya Robinson handed over her duties and responsibilities to Ariana Priester, a rising senior, during the flag ceremony. Priester will be the new commander of the Tiger Battalion for 24-25 school year!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Currently we are experiencing a county wide phone and internet outage. We are working to resolve this matter as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency, please visit the schools directly. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide updates soon.

Seniors also had a chance to chat with admission counselors from various universities in South Carolina, plus representatives from the armed forces and technical colleges. There were food trucks, a DJ, and several mascots that kept the students entertained.

The AFHS Class of 2024 got to attend the College and Career Decision Day event held at the State House in Columbia, SC. Seniors marched in a parade to celebrate their milestone achievement. They heard from guest speakers including State Superintendent, Ellen Weaver.

Congratulations to our very own, Trinity Mickell, for officially signing to Claflin University! Trinity is a gifted athlete and exceptional student, and we can't wait for her to continue her academic and basketball career as a Panther!

May 6-10th is also recognized as National School Nurse Week. We commend our nurses, Ashiel Bryant, Martha Brodus-Freeman, and Jannie Preacher for taking care of our students!

Congratulations to Arianna Priester for attending the Annual Military Officers Association of America Banquet/Awards Ceremony in Aiken, South Carolina, at Newberry Hill. Dear Allendale County School Community,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each one of you for your cooperation and support regarding our security and safety measures this week. Your commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our scholars is truly commendable.
As we continue to prioritize the safety of everyone on campus, please remember that wand and metal detector use will remain in place. Additionally, a gentle reminder that cell phones are not permitted during instructional hours. If brought to school, they will be confiscated. To avoid any inconvenience, please keep them securely stored in your book bags, purses, or pockets.
We kindly ask that early pick-ups are avoided whenever possible, as consistent attendance is crucial for your scholar's academic progress.
Thank you once again for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can maintain a safe and conducive learning environment for all.
Have a great weekend and be safe out there!
