We are so excited to share that one of our students, Shamiah O'banner, has been selected for the SCRWA Pre-Apprenticeship Program! Yesterday was her first day working for the Town of Allendale. We would like to thank Mrs. Blake and Councilwoman Fitts for providing this opportunity for our scholars.

Final reminder that this evening we will be holding the annual MLK Jr. Oratory Competition at 6:00 PM in the Allendale-Fairfax Multipurpose Room. In honor of the legendary Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., 3rd-5th grade students will present speeches with the overarching theme of "Making the Dream a Reality." The program showcased several talented dance groups such as the AFMS Dance Club, Hampton Dance Group, Denisha Zyere, and the Happy Home Praiser Dancers. Each performance was moving and expressive of Black culture.

Today Allendale-Fairfax Middle School held its finale program to end its week-long celebration for Black History Month. During the program, there were several harmonious selections by the AFMHS Chorus. We also heard beautiful singing from Mr. Gadson and the AFMS Staff Chorale. Morgan's Group also performed a drumming presentation.

Our Lady Tigers got to celebrate the end of their season by attending a Women's Basketball Game. They watched the USC Gamecocks defeat Alabama (72-44). After the game they got to meet the players and the head coach, Dawn Staley!
