We are excited to announce that we now offer cooking classes to our students. This partnership with Clemson University is called Cooking Matters. Over the course of 6 weeks, our students learn how to prepare and cook several dishes.

Students dressed as their chosen Black historical figure to embody them. It was clear that students had done thorough research as they gave detailed accounts about their subject and answered questions from the audience.

As part of our week long Black History celebration, Allendale-Fairfax Middle School held a Gallery Walk. Students chose an important Black figure to research and presented their projects to parents and other students.

Our Assistant Principals Anderson, Brandyburg, McCullough, Priester, and Rogers had Professional Development led by Dr.Miller and Mrs. Davis. During this session they focused on the relationship between principal and assistant principal. Traits such as trust, collaboration, and communication were ranked as some of the most important.

Our Lady Tigers put up a tough fight against Military Magnet, but ultimately were defeated (54-29). Regardless, we are still so proud of our girls and the incredible season they've had.

Thank you to all of the students, teachers, and administrators who participated and organized the Black History Panel/Debate. This event would not be a success without your efforts.
